Q: I like shearling, but not the cost. Any advice?

A: Faux shearling is a fab option for those watching their wallets. "Look for soft, lightweight material," says Kevin Carrigan, creative director of CK Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein. Plus: Unlike the real deal, you don't have to fret if it gets wet. "Just hand dry at room temperature," says Rick Wood, co-owner of Chicago's Davis Imperial Cleaners.
