Our greatest pleasure is to be entrusted with the most beautiful dress a woman can wear, her wedding gown, and have the opportunity to return it to pristine condition for another generation to treasure and enjoy.

110 Year Old Vintage Heirloom Wedding Gown

This wedding dress was purchased in Paris and taken to Vienna in the early 20th century for the wedding of Frieda Mansbach, Tanta Schnooks’ great-great aunt. While being chased out of Vienna by the Nazis, Frieda was given the opportunity by the people who were helping them escape to take one posession with her. She chose here wedding dress. Passed down through generations, it was last worn by Sonat Amana Hart for her wedding in 2007. The dress was brought to Davis Imperial by Charlotte, Sonat’s mother, for her daughter as a gift for a grandchild she hopes will one day treasure it as all the women in their family have before her. Brought to the U.S. around 1938, this dress has been worn by Frieda Mansback, Charlotte Loewenherz in 1966, Betsy Jaclynn Loewenherz in 1979, and Sonat Amana Hart in 2007.

For our third year, Davis Imperial Cleaners was asked by Filene’s Basement to once again be on hand for the 2011 Spring Running of the Brides.
